Orange Crush

I’m not sure what has come over me lately….I mean, I’ve always had a pretty decent collection of maxi dresses in my closet.  But, I have clearly taken it to a whole new level.  There are just TOO many good options out there right now.  I think I may own at least 30 (I know, I know).  But, how can a girl not?  Maxis are the perfect go-to fashion staple – simultaneously elegant and effortless.  Plus, they are so transitional.  You can take them from summer to fall and back into spring.

I have a serious Orange Crush on this maxi I picked up at the Thread Lounge in Chicago.  I love that the pink lace has hints of an orange underlay and a big pop of orange from the lining (easily visible with the center slit).  For this look, I chose more causal accessories.  A great cross-body purse always takes any outfit down a few notches, to that casual look.  Or add an elegant dressy clutch and the outfit instantly changes in tone and attitude.  How awesome is this Vince Camuto cuff bracelet?  I think it’s the best combination of a full bracelet with a stacked look.

While maxis are hot (and in much abundance), snag a couple for your closet too. Regardless of your body type, there is a maxi out there for you.  Not, that I’m trying to be a bad influence or anything. 🙂  Happy hunting!!
