I was originally planning to attend New York Fashion Week with a group of bloggers from Austin. Then, life got in the way. I was super bummed, but also hopeful for next time.
Fast foward a few months to the day before NYFW. I was experiencing major FOMO. Why would I miss out on an opportunity to attend?! So, I literally seized the day. I woke up, kissed my husband, threw a few things into a suitcase, and booked a flight to NYC (leaving in 2 hours). The rest that followed was pretty epic. I’ll be recapping my experience over the next few blog posts.
Let me add one important detail: I am a mega “planner.” My typical trip planing process involves months of research and lots of spreadsheets. This last minute behavior was very uncharacteristic of me. However, the personal development that occurs from pushing your boundaries is immense. When you step outside of your comfort zone and try something new, you grow in ways that you never knew were possible.
Carpe diem.
