Aloha from Maui! This is my first ever swimwear shoot, so I’m a little nervous about putting this out into the blog-o-sphere. But, that changes today. After all, this is a fashion, travel, and lifestyle blog…so that includes swimwear.
But first, I want to take a moment to talk about body image. No one is perfect and we all have insecurities. I challenge you to speak positive words about yourself and others. View imperfections as the special traits that make someone unique and beautiful. It is important to learn to love yourself and others, inside and out.
Our “Instagram culture” can place so much pressure to look picture perfect. This should not define you. It can suck the happiness right out of you and it isn’t reality. Life is not all about external appearances and filters. It is about who you are inside. You are Instagram perfect. You are a beautiful version of YOU.
Ok, now about that swim style! The belle sleeves we’ve been seeing on tops and dresses, have made their way to coverups. I am kind of obsessed. You’ll find me wearing this coverup all summer long.
This ultra cool bikini is reversible (two in one!). The detailed back and seashells attached to the strings are super fun. And these Sam Edelman studded sandals go with anything: swimwear, maxi dresses, shorts, rompers, etc. Update your gladiator sandals with a studded version. Super versatile!
Confidence and positivity are important no matter your shape or size. And so is a great swimsuit. So wear it all with a smile. Aloha!
