Austin’s Le Garage sale is NOT your typical garage sale. So, stop picturing some family’s used clothing and kitchenware items, baking in the unforgiving summer sun, which you were directed to by poorly designed signs.
Instead, imagine yourself participating in the ultimate 2-day designer bargain shopping marathon. Bargain. Shopping. Marathon. Need I say more? At Le Garage sale, you can find great deals on everything: shoes, handbags, jewelry, clothing for men, women and children, as well as home furnishings and accessories. This stuff is new and selling at clearance price! Not 10 years old and soon to be orphaned by the family that once used them. Like I said, this is not your typical garage sale. Over 50+ boutiques are participating this year!
I’ll never forget my first 2 Le Garage Sale bargain finds (circa 2006): an amazing Nanette Lepore jacket and a nautical-inspired Moschino bag.

Top 3 Tips for Le Garage Sale:
-
Wear a tank and leggings: Typically, there are NO dressing rooms available. This makes it much easier to try on clothing (without stripping down in front of everyone in the Palmer Events Center).
-
Bring at least $20 cash: $10 for parking, $10 for admission. Bring extra cash or your checkbook (wait, people still use those?), as some merchants only accept cash/check.
-
Ask for a lower price: Don’t be afraid to ask for lower prices…especially on the 2nd day. Stores are almost willing to “give” the merchandise away!
