The Austin Fashion Awards was the climatic ending to the week-long high of Austin Fashion Week. Golden Boot Awards (oh so appropriate for Texas!) were awarded to Rising Stars, Trailblazers, and Mash Up Teams. The red carpet was glowing! And for those looking to get their last AFW fix…Margarita Saplala, Kendra Scott, Ross Bennett, and Jessica Ciarla showcased their collections on the runway.
I wore a BCBG lace dress, gold bangles, and ankle-strap sandals (similar here).
Rising Stars: Christian Ramirez (actor/model/stylist), Michelle Weisman (81 Poppies), Kirsten Dickerson (Raven and Lily), Lauren Polt (Chickadee), and Ross Bennett (The Ross Bennett Collection)
Trailblazers: Dawn Younger-Smith (Boudoir Queen), Alyssa Bayer (Milk & Honey Spa), Patty Hoffpauir (The Garden Room), Sue Webber (Sue Webber Productions), and Gail Chovan (Blackmail) 
And for the Mash Up Team competition, Step Gold took the cake! They won both the People’s Choice Award and the Timothy White Photography Award. No one could hold a candle to their team. I couldn’t be more happy for my long time friend, the AMAZINGLY talented photographer, Gregg Cestaro.
