Skirts & Tees

30 Apr

Looking for an instant cool, casual ensemble?  Try pairing a t-shirt with a skirt.  Practically any skirt will work – circle, flowy, mini, maxi, pencil, etc.  But, there is a formula for perfecting the t-shirt–> mastering the twist tuck.  1) Use your index finger to twist the bottom of your t-shirt around your finger twice.  2) Tuck the twisted portion into the skirt, so it looks slightly sloppy.  Note: the t-shirt twist tuck also works well with blouses and/or jeans too.

Skirt, check!  T-shirt, check!  Next, add some ankle boots & a pendant necklace.  If the temps are cooler, you can throw on a plaid or denim button up around your shoulders, waist, or on layer on top.  Voila!!

Skirt: Banana Republic // Button Up Shirt: Foxcroft // T-Shirt: Banana Republic // Necklace: SimpleStrand // Arrow Bangle: Stella & Dot // Earrings: Argento Vivo // Gold Wire Bracelet: BreMarie // Gold Hinge Bracelet: Vintage (similar here) // Backpack: Elaine Turner // Boots: Old Navy (similar at Land’s End) // Sunglasses: Prada // Nail Polish: CND Vinylux (in Married to Mauve)
