Everybody has an old, go-to, heavy winter jacket.  You know the one I’m talking about. Its been sitting in your closet for years and should have been donated to a local coat drive – like 3 years ago. It’s time now!

You should own something truly unique & chic.  Look for flattering cuts, interesting zippers, fun fur, cool leather details, built in features, quality construction, versatility, and most important of all, warmth. Unique and chic also means staying away from basic coats with flashy logos (think, North Face, Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Mountain Gear, or LL Bean). By doing so, you’ll make one of your best winter wardrobe decisions, ever.

While vacationing in Vancouver, British Colombia, I stumbled upon this amazing Mackage jacket.  It is the chicest heavy jacket that I have ever laid eyes on.  The length, cut, angled multi-way zipper, leather details, fur, built in vest, and THAT hood – it was love at first sight! Warm & comfy, while still flattering & fashionable. Jackpot.

Now is the perfect time to shop for your best winter jacket, ever!  Treat yourself to a new heavy winter jacket, while all of the great styles are out.  IMO Mackage has some of the highest quality, best looking pieces.  If you’re not ready to make the splurge, check out my other budget-friendly picks below too!

Thank you, thank you! Down/winter coat is still on my “replacement” list. Really looking led an Elie Tahari two years ago but not avail label in my size. Still looking and thes are great options!

You’re probably right about the old jackets. I don’t have such, but I know what you’re talking about.
A good chic parka though can take you to the next level of style and help you work out your wardrobe in the winter… for many winters. I love this parka you’ve got – it is truly unique and that fur trimming which goes so deep on the front. Very chic and trendy piece.

Thanks for popping to my Twitter and Instagram. I love finding fellow bloggers! 🙂
