In Austintatious, Automobiles, Events, Style
What is sexier than the fusion of high fashion and the world’s premeir motor sport association, Formula One? Nothing (well…maybe Magic Mike). Austin Fashion Week kicked off with an event at the Bob Bullock Museum that represented both high fashion and the Circuit of The Americas – F1’s newest venue in Austin, TX (US Grand Prix, Nov. 16-18, 2012).
Here are some of the highlights from opening night:
On the A-list red carpet wearing a Maria Vasquez dress (similar here), Kendra Scott Earrings, and Semilla pumps (similar here).
Formula One cars from (back to front): Lotus-Pirelli (black and gold), Ferrari (red): Michael Schumacher’s world championship car, and Williams-Renault (blue and white). Note an awesome Lotus-Caterham 7 roadster between the Ferrari and Williams F1 cars.
The Diva’s Closet owner, Tina Downton being interviewed by the CW Austin. She is wearing a Betsey Johnson Dress (similar here) and Christian Louboutin pumps.
A beautiful kickoff at the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum!
Talking with Ross Bennett, Austin’s own Fashion Star contestant. Check out his fabulous leather gloves. Hermès is producing them for his new collection…coming soon!
Gorgeously decorated main lobby of Bob Bullock Museum, complete with party-goers – looks like an impressionist painting!!
Designs featured: menswear from Keepers, sportswear from Ferrari, evening-apparel from The Danes Collection, race wear from Linda Asaf, and a first look at the COTA Girls (the F1 Circuit’s signature brand ambassadors) Collection by Ross Bennett.
Top-ranked American F1 test driver, Alexander Rossi being interviewed by Jonathan Green (leading F1 motorsports broadcaster) and Holly Mills-Gardner (TV personality and former Miss Texas)
With Miss Texas! Love her dress and earrings!
